I walked the length of the road, turned off to find the clubs where they played and took some photos. I get that it’s cold but they all looked the same in their woolly hats puffa coats and moon boots don’t think that would float my boat if I was a bloke....they were more interested in standing chatting to each other and drinking tea!The only think I hated as a non smoker is all the bars allow smoking so it was like a fog in most of them and I couldn’t handle it....It’s not all seedy there is memorabilia to be seen as this was obviously where the Beatles spent a lot of there time so there’s a plaque in memory of them and some metal statues.....I felt more than safe walking about are there beggars yes but again you’ll find these everywhere ....the only thing that unnerved me is when I went into McDonald’s and used the toilet upstairs a man was relieving himself looking out of the window I quickly ran into the toilet and when I came out he was doing press ups very bizarre....Overall it was an experience and we enjoyed it, very busy and lively bars and restaurants. When we arrived we had our preconceptions about this place, it seemed tacky and dangerous and we were right. Review tags are currently only available for English language reviews.
