From another forum, I've learned that the loco is the Robin Hood. Towards the centre of the left edge there is Black Hill Well Farm, and beyond the trees belong to the Black Hill Plantation. There are several photographs. This pleasure park was the brainchild of Entrepreneur Frank T Thompson. The two golden Acre Hudswell Clarke locomotives have led a nomadic existence. There's not much on Leodis.C mid 1930s. You might get a copy of the Golden Acres book at the Civic Bookshop quite cheap. I wonder if it is a remains of the old track? 3:18. A miniature railway runs around the edge of the lake and the Galleon Cafe can be seen. 1930s.The railway circled the lake for a little over a mile on a 20 inch gauge track...there were three stations, Lakeside near the park entrance, where most journeys started, Woodview and Woodend... there were also footbridges and a tunnel to add interest.
