Its a terrible film.its basically about nothing. But, oh no, it is not just any abandoned factory. I can't say that I would recommend this movie, since I don't think I was that objective. To enjoy it to the fullest, eject your brain now. It's totally understandable why there are SO many negative reviews and why so many people are genuinely disappointed with this movie. It's probably due to the fact that, out of the years that I've been alive (THIRTY of them, ladies and gents), I've had pets for 28 of those. A film that somehow manages to be fairly watchable, yet nonetheless really needed intervention from the conceptual stage onward. Be forewarned, to the extent that this piece of crap even had a script, it was an awful and malkovich should fire his agent for getting him involved in this dump show. It's well worth watching, my only gripe was it should have ended without the added ending. Because the scenes where the dog is chasing after Walker, Stacy and Gage (who's always referred to as the kid by the other two) only comprise like, maybe, less than 50% of the movie. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. And, really, the cast is likable and solid enough at what they do that they end up making it work regardless. As cliche as it sounds, I do feel like he was my best friend and losing him was a massive blow that I'm still not over. This was a very good movie and I do not understand the antipathy expressed in some of the reviews. John Malkovich did mumble a lot here, but I like him, so he was enjoyable even if he was shooting at 60% capacity.
